A Fresh Cut Before Christmas on the Pecos

The event's season: November 27 to December 31, 2026, closed December 24. Times and tickets are on the event's own site, christmasonthepecos.com, so check there before you plan the night.

My schedule doesn't change for the season. I cut Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, plus Saturday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Wednesday and Sunday are closed, December included.

Opening night is Friday, November 27. Thanksgiving lands the day before, Thursday, November 26, and I'm open at weekday hours that day with the holiday fee added.

For family photos, aim for a cut a few days ahead of the shoot. The edges have time to relax, and it still looks crisp in the pictures.

Heading out to Christmas on the Pecos with family, with dinner after? Any cut works; what matters is the slot. Pick the date of the outing, then work back to the nearest open day on Booksy.

Beard in the photos? The Signature Cut ($65, 45 min) adds a beard trim or line-up and a hot towel finish. For the full treatment before a big night, the Luxury Grooming Experience runs 50 min.

Christmas Day is a Friday this year. I'm open at weekday hours, and appointments that day carry the $20 holiday fee. The days around it are regular days at regular prices.

December 31 is a Thursday as well, the season's last night. New Year's Day is Friday, January 1, 2027, with the holiday fee on that day.

Kids are welcome, and they book from the same menu as everyone else, starting with the Essential Haircut at $50. If the whole family is going in the photo, book each person as a separate appointment on Booksy, one after another, so it's a single trip to the shop.

Beards show up in family pictures more than people expect. The Signature Cut keeps the beard in line with the haircut, so nobody looks half finished next to the tree.

Plan the cuts first and the outing second. The event runs about five weeks, but each of those weeks has only so many open times in my chair.

Payment is the same as any visit: cash, card, Zelle or Cash App, after the service. Holiday plans move around; when yours do, cancel through Booksy early, since Booksy can charge a fee for no-shows and late cancellations.
