Open on Holidays: How Holiday Appointments and the $20 Fee Work
Yes, I'm open on holidays. The shop keeps its regular hours for that day of the week, and an appointment on the holiday itself carries a $20 holiday fee on top of the service. The days around a holiday are ordinary days at ordinary prices.
Wednesday and Sunday stay closed, holiday or not. Here is how it plays out across the holiday season.
Regular hours, one fee.
The calendar decides.
A holiday doesn't change my schedule. If it lands on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday, I'm on weekday hours. On a Saturday, it's 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. On a Wednesday or a Sunday, the shop is closed like any other week.
The $20 applies only to appointments on the holiday itself. Book the day before or the day after and you pay the normal price. Either way, you book through Booksy like any other day. The fee is the same flat amount whatever you book, from an Essential Haircut to a Color Transformation. Payment works the same as always: cash, card, Zelle or Cash App, after the service.

Know which weekday it lands on.
Thanksgiving always falls on a Thursday, a regular cutting day for me. Christmas Day and New Year's Day move around the week from year to year, so check the weekday before you plan. Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve are their own question, so text me if you're planning around either one.
Thanksgiving week has a gap to know about: the Wednesday before is a regular Wednesday, which means closed. Monday and Tuesday of that week are your fee-free options before the holiday.

One barber, one schedule.
I work solo, so a holiday week has the same number of hours as any other week. If you want a particular day, book it as soon as your plans are set. The Saturdays before Christmas run the usual 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Every holiday follows the same rule, not only the winter ones: check the weekday, look at my regular hours for it, and expect the fee only if you book the holiday itself.
Long services need an early start on a busy day. A Color Transformation takes 4 hr and braids 2 hr, so pick a morning slot if there's a family dinner that evening.
